Picked up a new mustang!

Hey guys. This is my 3rd stang. Currently have a 2014 coyote all decked out, but have always wanted a fox body!! So here it is. Let me know what yall think of it or what I should do/change on it. It has a mild cam(not sure which cam) longtubes(unsure of brand) 3 inch exhaust off-road H pipe into flowmasters. 4 bank chip. Cold air intake and cobra wheels with a new paint job. It's also a 5 speedClick image for larger version

Built Fuel injected 347 stroker, t-56 magnum, 9in rear with 4.10s...
Nah, just kidding, but I think a GT40 kit would work nice on the car.

I've heard a lot of people talking about a gt40. What exactly is that?

A better top end over stock, heads and intake.

GT40 heads are what came on the Cobras and the 96-00 Explorers. Very solid power bump over the GT heads, 50hp to the wheels with just the heads and intake and no other changes, you don't even need to get the car tuned if you have a stock cam.

Not sure why they put an aftermarket cam in there with stock heads though, stock heads can't really make much use of an aftermarket cam, they flow that bad. Car looks beastly though, love a clean fox.

Find out what all the parts are on the car and I'd start prepping to pull the top end of the motor apart and pull the cam out and see exactly what you have. GT40 heads with a basic letter cam (E/B/F cam) and the GT40 intake with all the bolt ons and a tune is a 275ish rwhp car. Put a 150 shot or a blower on top of it and you are pretty much at the limit of what the stock block can take.

That is another thing if you are not familiar with pushrods, don't fall for putting a forged rotating assembly in a stock block. The stock rotating assembly is stronger than the stock block is and your year came OEM with forged pistons so if they are original they are already forged.

What I would do...

-GT40 heads/intake
-B cam
-Full exhaust (better one if the one you have sucks)
-Gears
-Suspension/chassis mods
-5 lug swap
-A5 transmission
-Vortech and the fuel/ignition upgrades for it
-Tune it and go

Obviously the rest of the little "goodies" as well. Above basic parts rundown is a 450rwhp 3100lb car.

Well I don't wanna make it into a beast like my coyote is. I already have 600whp in it. I just want it to have roughly 250-300whp to get on down the road. If I wanna make it fast fast. I'll ls swap it with a turbo. I'm gonna find out exactly what cam it has. It may already have gt40 heads. I am picking the car up after work tomorrow. So I'll dig into it and see exactly what is done thus far. I know the exhaust is brand new. I'll probably put new headers on it. They look cheap af. And I'm def doing a 5 luck conversion. I wanna keep the manual transmission. I'm sick of not being able to row gears hahaha the coyote is auto.

I love a good fox body. Five lug conversion is a great place to start.
