3.73 gears HP

None. Makes the engine rev up quicker.

Every day is a joyride.

Agree with Recon.
It doesn't make either(hp tq)but it does make better use of the torque youve already got.It puts the engine in its peak power band quicker.Eventhough it doesn't produce HP or TQ,the car will feel like you've added 50hp to it,compared to how it feels with the stock 2.73's.
Besides a supercharger, nitrous or really nice cylinder heads,a set of gears is the only other bolt-on you can install, that will actually give you a big seat of the pants improvement you can feel.It might even improve your gas mileage while driving in the city, but you'll probably lose 1-2mpg on the highway. Its definitely a modification you'll be very happy with though.

Getting mine thrown on right now. I can't imagine what will be like with the 373's and the cj setup. I had 373s on my last 5.0 and it felt faster with less mods n/a without the cj setup, but with the cj setup on this one and the 331s, this one feels faster. Now to combine the feel of both and hopefully it will be insane.

As stated, gears add no HP or torque, they only make the torque you have easier for it to move the car. Think of it as adding a bigger pulley when you want to lift a weight.
I would say this --- figure out the % difference between your current gears and the 3.73's and then add this difference to your current torque. That is the difference you would feel --
For instance:
Current gears 3.15 --- that would be an 18% difference in the gear ratios going to the 3.73's

Current torque (as an example) 300.......300 X 1.18 = 354

So --- stay with me here........if you stayed with the 3.15 gears, you would need to increase your torque to around 350 to accelerate as quickly as you would with the 3.73's and your current torque level.
