What size rims?
What size tires?
What springs?
What shocks?
Was the car empty/unloaded?
Are you sure it is hitting the fender and not bottoming out?

Theres a pinion snubber(piece of hard rubber attached to a metal plate)that's attached to the underside of the body that contacts the top of the differential housing to prevent axle hop & excessive upward movement of the axle housing. You can buy an aftermarket snubber that's adjustable which will help reduce movement. The pictures below are a stock snubber & a aftermarket adjustable snubber.
