94 gt brake upgrades

Hey everyone,
Been thinking about upgrading my breaks on my 94 gt. Not looking at huge expensive big break kits. Mostly looking at 99-04 gt upgrade with a good set of rotors and pads. What is everyone thought and opinions? Is there anything thing special I need to know about the install? And best place to get the parts?

Just get the Cobra brakes and call it good. Stopping difference between the Cobra brakes and the 99-04 GT brakes is pretty noticeable. Do the fronts to start and then source the rear axle brackets and caliper brackets and pick an afternoon to pull your axles to install them. Side bonus is you get a fluid change in the rear too.

Yea was only going to do the front now and upgrade the pads and rotors all around. Do I run a 13in or 11in rotor?

What do you think of ordering like autozone cobra caliper? I really don't care if they don't say cobra really in for it for the performance upgrade?

They're all rebuilt OEM units anyway. In China... I've had decent luck with them and if one is messed up they replace it for free.

You get the 94-04 Cobra caliper brackets, calipers and 13" Cobra rotors. Everything bolts right on.

Shouldn't need to. I know you don't with the 96+ but those are Hydroboost.

Yes that. And then I would get the Raybestos rotors from Rockauto and Centric Posi Quiet pads from Rockauto. Hell I'd get the calipers and brackets from Rockauto too, will be cheaper. Use the 5% discount code during checkout.

Yea I was thinking of rock auto but have two gift cards to autozone so may do half the order there and the rest at rock cause autozone doesn't have the ray rotors in stock. Can I find the discount code online?

The discount code is on our forum somewhere. Just google "rockauto mustangevolution" and you should go right to it.

If you have the gift cards then get the calipers and brackets at autozone. NEVER get rotors from Autozone. The duracrap ones all have runout issues that are worse the bigger the rotor gets and the pads... not terrible but not the best. Same with the advance wearever ones and the napa white box specials. I've ran Raybestos rotors since the early 2000s and they are legit.
