1994 Mustang GT Idle Issues

Hello all,

I am experiencing some idle issues, where at initial start, the car idles fine, but about after a min or two...the idle surges, repeatedly, as if I am stepping on the gas and then returns to normal. My car was idling perfect, until I replaced the power steering pump. While replacing the pump, the battery cable made contact with the terminal while the key was turned to the "on" position. My concern is that the power bump may have thrown something off. I have checked the MAF sensor, TPS and they both seem to be working fine. I did recently change the o2 sensors as well, but this was after I was having the idle issues. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would start and always start with a running of your codes....fast, free and informative.

Also good to do a base idle reset http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,1031

Thanks for the response. I ran the codes... and if I read them correctly. Below is what I came up with:

542 - Fuel Pump Circuit Failure
122 - TPS Below min .6 Volts
123 - TP Circuit Above Max 4.5 Volts
177 - O2 Sensor Circuit indicates system rich (Left Side)
327 - DPFE or EVP circuit below min voltage of .2 volts

Did you run KOEO then the KOER? Might pull the ECM and look for a burnt spot on the board. Could have surged it. But clear the codes and do the idle reset like was said above before suspecting the ECM.
