Leaks

Would it be the lower intake gasket if there's a lot of oil on the upper back side of the motor and on top of the transmission. I put my hand back there and can feel the gasket sticking out pretty far didn't seem normal possibly the cause of my vacuum leak

Spray some Carb cleaner in that area and see if the idle changes or starts missing, if so you have a leak there.

It could even be the pcv valve or the screen under it all clogged up. Best bet is to clean up the area really well and see where it starts.

This is a well known leak area for the Foxbodys. The rear main seal is another leak prone area.
