Ford racing 363 crate engine

I have a foxbody that i would like to make faster, i have a rebuilt 302 making 312rwhp and 347tq. I would like to get the 363 crate engine that makes roughly 500hp. Ive seen a couple and i like the one with the dart block. Has anyone used this engine before?

What is your budget for 500hp at the crank motor?
Just a couple of questions...what trans do you have auto or manual?
Why not step up to 393 or 408 or even 427?
I know your Fox is setup for 300rwhp...how well will it stand up to another 150wrhp
The dart blocks are one the best foundations you can start with...I've used them as I have the MoTown block. I got 650HP out of an early OE 351w block and had no issues for over 6 seasons of race only...

This would certainly be a choice also...Ford OE Boss 363 crate motor.

If I had buy a crate motor other than build one myself....one that I knew was put together correct and sent with a dyno sheet I'd buy a Roush...great customer service and they stand behind their motors.

My max is about 10k

I have a built manual tranny

I dont want to go to big as i still drive this 4 or 5 times a week, id still prefer a 331 stroker but i am going for the 450-500 crank hp range

The rest of the parts should hold up nicely to the extra 150rwhp

Another vote for Forstroker as Woody will take his time and work with you toward your goal/budget. I prefer someone who will share some knowledge and explain to you why to do this or that and not just "cause I say so". It is your hard earned money that you are dropping.

Also use a Dart block as the foundation so that you will have nothing to worry about in the future.

What tranny do you have?
Fuel?

Beefed up as in an Astro gearset? If not, it's on borrowed time behind a 363.

Then you need a new transmission before going to "big power".

You will need a "beefed" up tranny which means it will need new guts to handle the power. The clutch will be an issue with more power as well so that should be on your shopping list.
