Realistic valuation of my 89 Mustang LX.

Guy stopped by yesterday evening to ask about my LX sitting in the driveway. It's not perfect, mice ate the hood liner about an 1/8th of it and built a nest in the head liner, so I removed it. The hatch doesn't close right and some dings here n there. I've owned it since 1993, I'm the second owner, no wrecks, 0 rust, never been chopped up and never slicked. Some specs, 3:73's, Mac long tubers and full Mac exhaust, Edelbrock aluminum heads 2.02/1.60, FMS rocker arms, short block from Downs Motorsports, Edelbrock upper and lower intake, FMS 3 row aluminum radiator, motor is studded through with APR, 175 lph fuel pump, Pete Jackson gear drive, Auto Meter tach n gauges, FMS KIng Cobra clutch and Hotchkis control arms. I got the vibe he was in the $1500 range we sorta danced a bit no way am I gonna let it go for that. The pic below was from last year, now my 14 GT is sitting in the garage. Pretty much been garaged since I've owned it. Your thoughts....

EDIT: 5 OR 6K on the motor.

There is no way I would sell that car. Give it a bit more time and you are going to see the value climb as collectors look for good Foxes.

If it truly runs and drives good then I see at least 3.5k minimum.

Every year a few foxes die in various ways. there are a fixed number of true 5.0 foxes left in the world. The longer you keep it, the more it is worth. I remember looking for a fox in the early 2000s. Few at the time had realized the market would shift like it has over the last 20 years. I could get a Fox 5.0 for $2k everyday in decent shape...now? More like $6k for one with very little/no rust.
