I have a 1991 GT with the Titanium "gray" interior. My quarter panels has taken a beating from the sun and I am thinking about repainting them the same color.
Has anyone out there ever painted the interior trim on the stango? My main question is if so how good did the paint match the car? How was the quality of the paint itself?
Other than ordered the paint though catalogs would anyone local have it?
Who would have the best paint?
VHT or Duplicolor(Acrylic Lacquer and not the enamel)for interior. Make sure you get the matching brand adhesion promoter to help it stick. Regular spraypaint tends to flake and crack in a few weeks.make sure to wipe the panel with rubbing alcohol a couple times and then let it dry for a couple hours..
When using the Duplicolor (found at Autozone for sure)spray on the promoter and let dry for 15 minutes and then do a second coat and right about 10 minutes into the second coat of the promoters dry time go ahead and put your first coat of color on and then let dry . I did 5 light coats on each piece and its held up very very well.
