Carb

Which carburator would you guys recommend for a 1972 mustang with a 302 in it? I mean specifically

is your engine stock? i ran a 625 cfm carter afb on the stock 302 in my 64. i loved it. I personally dont like holleys, i would take an edelbrock or a carter anyday.

The only thing changed on it are performance headers and a racing dome air filter but other than that it's stock.

i say go with a 600ish cfm edelbrock or carter then.

600-650 would do you good, and still would give you room to expand

What el;se would you do to it if you had a choice to make it faster but not ridiculously overpriced

I had a Road Demon 625cfm 4bbl on my 305 powered Camaro. It was awesome. Much higher quality than my old Holley junk. Haven't ever played around with Carter/Edelbrock, though.
