Warning System now in place.

It is a pretty simple system.

You start out with 0 of 5 points. Everytime a member gets warned, depending on the severity of the problem (determined by moderator/admin) your warning level will be increased 1-5 Points and when you hit 5 points you will be banned for a minimum of 3 months from being able to post on the forum.

You will see your warning level in your post at the bottom underneath your avatar. You only see yours and no one elses.

As with any banning if you sign up with a new username you will be perma banned on both usernames as well as your ip address will be banned.

Please go over our site rules here: http://www.mustangevolution.com/forum/rules.php

If you have any questions or concerns on how the warning system works please contact me.

Re: Warning System now in place.

They dont, so just dont get them

It is a running tab for us that moderate to keep track over how many times you have been warned over a certain thing.

If you get banned once you come back from the ban then it resets, but that is the only time.

Re: Warning System now in place.

not to start off with a warning, or complain, but that's sorta not fair (nicest way of saying slightly less than straight). Maybe there should be a time period of say, 2 warning tabs will go away in 3 months. Or maybe 1 tab in 2 months. Sort of like giving them a chance to realize what they have done wrong, and to work towards being a good member again.

Re: Warning System now in place.

The mods and them are the only ones that see the warning so its not like everyone else sees they have been warned...

Anyway I will think about it.

i have to agree with Jimmy here (wow...i just said that)

using the flame fest we had as an example, we ended up resolving our issue over PM's, re-earned eachothers respect, and havnt had an issue since, which i would see as grounds for having the warnings removed over time

it would suck if you got into a flame war, got 4 warnings, leave the board, then come back a few months later, say the wrong thing and get banned

Re: Warning System now in place.

1 Month after the warning if you do not recieve any other warnings you will drop one warning point.

I'm sure if you only had one thing to contribute, and you actually got to do it, you'd be happy too ...
