Re: Site cards/pamphlets

not sure, never had any made, but I have a friend who works in a print shop. I'll ask him how it works.

I'd just rather have a 'card' than a card sized piece of letter paper.

Re: Site cards/pamphlets

To be honest, once we agree on a design, I'm just gonna go to a local print shop and have them make some up for me, gonna be cheaper that way then have someone make up a bunch then you have to worry about shipping. I've run into several opportunities I wish I had a card or 2. Luckily one of those guys has gotten on the site, but still.

I doubt it, cards could fit in an envelope.

i dont think they'd be that expensive...but you can buy thicker paper if you want to print them off on.

Re: Site cards/pamphlets

We need to keep and clean... just basic info like Nick suggested...

Our logo (might want to wait to see what someone will come up with for our new one.), a comment like "Nice ride check out Mustangevolution.com!" somewhere to put write our member name in like suggested as well...

White background is a plus.. its cheaper to print for one....

I had an idea. Will only work for people that have digital cameras. What if whenever u see a cool Stang. u take a couple of pix of it and leave a business card or whatever that says "see your Stang featured at www.mustangevolution.com". We would upload the pix here and Brent could put them on a "featured spot" on the main page and aloud members to post comments. The Stang owner comes in here, sees the cool pix of his car and some cool comments about it from members, he joins, and we all live happily ever after.

Re: Site cards/pamphlets

If we do a card that just advertises the site, I think we should mention things like:

Vender Specials
Tech Articles
Regional Events

I like the idea of putting "Nice Ride" and "Check us out" or "Join Us" like Kyle did in his GT500 card. I would say make the image transparent like dark02 did in his.

Maybe we go with a white business card and just a small image of a mustang in the top left or right corner. basically something like what I have attached, only made pretty and not blah and boring. My PS skills are very much ****ty, so someone who is 1337 needs to do it.

Obviously, the web address would need to be added. The site I used didn't have much in the way of customization.

Thanks, I might be able ot get creative too and just use a business card template with that text and just print them out at home. Being able to play with the text was what I was looking for anyhow. Thanks.

Re: Site cards/pamphlets

Here is what I have come up with. I am going to get some business card paper tomorrow and see how it prints out. If all goes well, I think I am going to print me off a few dozen of these and start handing them out. I will just write something on the back of the card saying I sent them there since a refered by line made it seem a bit crowded.

The only change is that I am going to put my car in the header for the final version though. I figure anyone that wants these can just tweak this document and print it out. This way, everyone could put their own car on there if they want or change the text a little. It will also allow everyone to print extras any time they need it instead of running to kinkos or the like. Prolly a little cheaper too.

I need to get some more color ink now too. I had to print out some katrina and rita pics for some relatives and now my color light is on on the printer. I did manage to get about 50 cards printed up though. Going to start handing them out this week.

Here is how they turned out. All for the grand total of $7.17 for a pack of 250 sheets of business card paper. I had to brighten the red up because the paper isn't white, but other then that, it was quick and simple.
