Well I don't even have a computer I surf and stuff off my phone so this is a total plus for me. And I have a data plan so the app actually uses less data than the full site. This is great. Push notifications on new threads. Awesome. Just awesome

Even though I don't have an iPhone anymore I did download the Android app. That's the whole reason I joined this forum, because I too don't have a computer. Love the app no matter what phone its on!!!

Ya android is the same deal. The guys who run this site are smart. By giving us the app it opens the door to more people getting on here more often and in more ways therefore ad space is a premium because of the volume of people that cam now access the site. Genius

Curious as to why no computer? You seem to be pretty tech savy not to have one.

Not the windows7 brother,it runs super smooth. Yes the old windowsmo was horrible and I had big problems with it.So many problems that I swore I would never do windowsmo again but a friend who had similar problems as myself picked up the new windows7 phone from at&t (Samsung model) and said it was amazing so I grabbed the HTC HD7 from Tmobile and it runs super smooth and navigates super smooth.

Great product.

W7 phone will pretty much do it all. It runs like a mini computer.

Its still a small resolution screen. There is no way I could give up the power of my desktop for a phone.

oh yeah,of course the big screen is great but I'm just talking functionality. The droid wouldn't let me do simple things like change my avatar or post a pic in my thread from the phone. The W7 will let you do it all.

Does your W7 phone tether? I am having to tether my phone due to Comcast being completely worthless at the moment.

Re: iphone app

Yes the W7 does wireless.I never use it but have a friend who does all the time with his laptop.

The Android phones would never function on a full web page like the w7 does. Example: No live smileys, could not scroll up and down through the shout box of our local forum or any other forum that had a shout box, could not add photos to threads, change avatar or sig picture from the phones storage ect,ect.....
I've tried this on the G1,G2,Dell Streak and the droid x. None of these Android based phones will let you do these things, even in full web page mode.Ive never been a fan of the site apps,I've always used the full web page.

Seems to be an issue you experienced. I just verified on two HTC devices (Hero and EVO) I can upload sig pics or avatar pics directly from my phone or SD card. I have no issues scrolling a shout box.

May also be HTC's Sense UI working over the Vanilla Android platform.

No,no more Android phones. That's strange,It would never work for me on the g1,g2 or the Dell streak. The droid x was owned by a friend who was having the same issue.

Well, It could be HTC's Sense UI that makes it functionable, but I doubt. I checked through the Android Internet Broswer just to be sure (I'm using Dolphin HD)

I don't know. I think we get minimal stuff with it. I suppose it uses less data.
