Tech topic posting changes

Several months ago we began aggressively monitoring new threads were started and moving them into or out of the "tech sections" We had good intentions and thought that it would make it easier for folks to locate much needed info about their rigs, but it has caused some heartache for members (especially mobile users) who had trouble figuring out where to post their questions and what constituted a "tech" topic.

Today we are going to loosen up this restriction and you will notice some changes to the titles of several sections of the board. The "tech sections" are now open to more general discussions so long as they pertain to the models and years in the section. We may still move content but are taking a more relaxed approach. We understand that not everyone has the same understanding of what a tech post is and that the confusion this caused was the source of some community tension.

Moving forward - try to locate your thread in the area of the board that best suits the topic; we may still move it, but hope that the small changes we've made today will improve your Community experience.

In the coming weeks you will see a new thread in each "Tech" area that will have links to the best of the hard core tech threads for that section. This should make it easier to find the best posts on specific tech topics .
