how much do you think it costs to ship a hood? It can only go buy truck freight and hoods and bumpers are expensive to ship. Odd shape and large -- goto any place that sells hoods online and find shipping charges.

yea its expensive, from TX to MD was 150 shipping for my hood. not cheap they charge you dimmensional weight, my hood box weighed like 35lbs, but since its such a big box they charge you the average of a box that size.

ups/fedex do it to its not uncommon. say you have a box 12x9x6 going ups overnight, might weight 1 lbs but they are gonna charge you for like 8 (example) plus the cost of fuel.

im willing to bet that they dont fit exactly right. ive never seen a hood that fits correctly (besides stock) better than a cervini's hood. even my mach1 hood on the 86 wasnt molded all right. didnt have the right arch to it.

Yeh...Cervini's hoods are the best stock fitting hoods I've seen. All the rest..takes very minor modification and some good hood pins

Most carbon fiber hood are $400 to begin with. So it's probally not to bad.

Most likely it's a retailer sellin em under a private name.
