I always figure whatever you spend on your car you take half of that and spend it on your girl

how much time do you guys spend on your cars? I've never had a girl that didn't understand. I don't have too many girls because I'm more of a long relationship type person than a short term one but girls always seem to enjoy my car as much as I do. Perhaps it's cause they know before they get involved, or maybe it's because I actually take them out for some fun in the car, or perhaps cause I explain it and get them involved; but whatever the reason is they seem to enjoy car and such as much as I do when they stick around.

My gf has just learned I'm obsessed with my car and cars in general. She pretty much just puts up with it. When it warms up I'll spend 8-9 hours a week on my car at least, and that's just washing and detailing and adding stuff, not major stuff.

she didn't live near, so taking her out in the car wasn't really an option. I dunno, that relationship was doomed for failure regardless, looking back.

Mine now understands. Jennifer, do you remember when I first got the white one, I told you I'd probably be spending a lot more time with it? haha.

You guys are dating? I pick up on comments here and there but I never knew exactly who the couple was. It's kinda different when you both are enthusiastic about the same car, but cool nontheless. You guys must race from time to time right?

Yeah, we're dating. We've been dating for 2 years and 1/2. He tries to race but I'm the one that doesn't do that. Haha.

She would beat me in a race, lol. I have so much more weight in my stang than she does. But yeah, 2 and 1/2 years together. I've been enthusiastic about Mustangs longer than she has. But I think she's always liked them.

Perhaps you should add it (a race) to whatever Valentines day gift you have planned, film it, and post it for all of us to see!

her car is messed up right now, but any other time, she could take me, haha. My only shot would be to get her off the line with my fatter tires.

Why is her car faster? What are the mods on both? Now that I know you two are dating it seems so obvious. I was always looking for "Nick" especially in the "lets make sentences" thread but now I see you guys have the same name, she basically tells you in the space above her avatar, both from Alabama...I guess I just really wasn't looking for it, lol

^ lol, I put that in her custom title. You must have missed the matching sigs that were like puzzle pieces too, those are gone now.

She would probably win because all I've done is add weight. 17x9s, tires, subs, etc. We're the same year and same tranny too. I do have a lot of decals though that she doesn't have.... :chin:

Ponies are good for 5hp to the crank but the big mustang sticker on the windshield is worth 5hp to the wheels so it'll be close.

I never saw the sigs that were puzzle pieces

Match made in heaven

My girl think I spend too much time on my car now, and that's only the summer months. Since my garage is so small I can't work in there during the winter months. Now we're building a much larger one with a pit and everything. Will spend my winter months in the garage too, bet she will be pissed

We're 7 years and 3 months down the road, if anyone cares

Someone said that it seems that their girl gets interested in their car. No, most girls, especially high school girls could give a rats *** what we do to them. They think, OoOoO nice car and then your personality has to do the rest.

Every experiance I ever had with trying to explain car stuff to my ex-girlfriend ended in frustration and the words, "Nevermind, I can tell you don't caare." Then she would nod and we moved on to something else to talk about.

I wish I could find one of those girls that is into cars, snowboarding, rock, and parttying!!

My gf's dad works for GM he's been with them since he was 18 and has moved his way up pretty much as high as he can go in his field. He also buys cars that dont work and fixes them and sells them. So she understands
