Polished Valve Coveers

Wasn't sure I could post this.

I was thinking of switching my valve covers for polished valve covers. Jeremy at Hardkore Metal Finishing did a set in polish while I was at his shop and the work was still in the process of polishing them. The polishing isn't completed, but these look killer. When they do complete them they have a clear coat shot to maintain the shine.
So here's a place in San Diego (El Cajon) where you can go to have this done.

Re: Polished Valve Coveers

Polished parts look good, and those are really nice. But dirty polished parts look worse than dirty stock parts. It's a lot of work to keep those looking nice.

Once these are completed, they will be clear coated to keep them shinny. So there won't be a lot of work to keep them polished. No worst than having chrome parts under the hood.

Re: Polished Valve Coveers

I wonder how the clearcoat will hold up to the heat under the hood. But if it works good, i may have to try it on some stuff

It is hard to polish around the coil area, but they use a hand tool for that hard to get places.

The clear coat will hold up just great. I've had these done for a while now with now problems at all.

My car isn't a show car and the car doesn't have to be one. Since I can't race my car might as well make it look good.
