new truck!

2004 F150 FX4, extended cab, black leather interior, flareside. Ultimately, this truck will be MUCH more practical in Iowa than the GT.

I wish I could remember what brand mine was....and where I bought it from. It is a great cover. Very soft and will not soak up water like the cloth ones out there. It's not 100% waterproof, but none are...

Re: new truck!

Yeah just make sure you get one that will go over that wing and still reach the bumper

and some moth balls or something near the car to keep the rat ****ers from chewing stuff.

AmericanMuscle has some I was looking at. I just want to make sure it's "safe" from the winter.

Re: new truck!

that makes me feel really bad. I have to clean 100% of the truck because the last owner Armorall'd ALL of it. He coated everything in the Engine Bay in Armorall... and it soaked up all the dirt from the air. It's FILTHY.

When I used to detail repossessed cars for the auto auction, we did this constantly. The armor all will make it shiny and new looking even if its dirty as hell.....just long enough to make it off the block. Given the choice between an hour of degreasing and scrubbing under the hood or spraying silicone everywhere, the answer could not have been more clear.

Re: new truck!

You gotta put some loud *** pipes on it...wouldn't be a true midwest truck without loud exhaust.

Re: new truck!

chrome grill with a flat black guard... shiney and it matches the bottom edge of the truck

i dunno though, i'm not really into chrome anything, to flashy for me, i like to be a little lower key, i'm sure what ever you do it will look great, your mustang came out really nice

my dad already has a car trailer... I'm planning on redoing it this summer and then I could. I have to modify the ramps that come with that model of trailer so my car doesn't settle between the rungs on the loading ramps. I was thinking diamond plate or something to make it nice and flat.

I'm just giving him a hard time, but in all honesty, after towing with my Dodge, I will never, ever own a full size truck that isn't a diesel.

Re: new truck!

lol, only reason I have a Dodge instead of a Ford is whats under the hood. Cummins > Powerstroke. I almost got a King Ranch instead of the Dodge, but I'd rather have cloth seats and an engine that'll go a million miles instead of those sexy, sexy King Ranch seats and a 100k mile motor.

isnt Ford going back to using cummins in the Superduty Line up. Not to sound like an *** or any thing but the Ford is built better over all, but the new Dodge trucks are sooo much better then the older ones.

Re: new truck!

You can get a Cummins in the F-650, but thats all I know of. I know the Fords are built much better, Dodge QC sucks. But like I said, I wanted the best engine on the road, and settled with the crap bolted on around it.

Re: new truck!

I did know the Ford F650 and up came with the cummings but I thought I was reading that Ford was droping powerstroke and using cummings again? Now I have to look this up.
