latest little "project"

well, i was going to restore the factory wheels, using the method of painting the entire rim, then sanding the paint off the face, and smoothing out the face of the rim for a factory fresh look

didnt work too well, i used "Textured Metallic" from Duplicolor, and the **** is overly durable, i used those paint removing wheels for the drill, and took me 20 minutes to get a 3"x3" section down to the factory clearcoat, didnt even make it to the bare metal, so i repainted the rim, painted some spare centercaps, and threw em on the car

car is filthy, and only 2 are on the car at the moment, tomorrow, car will be washed, and better pics will be taken, and soon i should have new tires on the car

Re: latest little "project"

Well, the method i used wouldnt work on those wheels. If they were a flat faced wheel, like the snowflakes or 10 holes, it would have worked. Basically you paint the wheel, use a drill and scotchbrite pads and sand the paint off, then use the rear of te car as a lathe, and turn the wheels while sanding through grits, then clear

your wheels, youd have to bead blast and repaint.
