I don't care what you say about Chevy...

The new Corvettes are awesome machines (as if they weren't before!)

Hope this isn't a re-post

I like the new vette especially getting rid of the hidaway headlights. They just plain suck. I also like the body style and the fact it has a boat load of HP.

I like the HP numbers it has, but the styling is too much like the viper...it needs to be more of its own look. I would just like something better to look at in the rear view than a quasi viper.

I don't know, somethin' just doesn't sit right visually for me. I've always remembered Vette's as slick smooth machines that looked like they were bulging muscles... but recently, they've taken a turn to try to look like that, but with more of an edge bent metal look... I realize that's a horrible way to phrase it, but I can't think of anything else right now. Just look in the rear quarter. I like the bulging style better on them... not sure why, but even the Viper does the smooth bulging lines

Other than that, I wouldn't want one...not only because it is chevy, but because of the stereo type that comes with it.

Holy sh*t you guys are weird. Who cares about what stereotype comes with a car? Who cares what stereotype comes with anything? Anybody who knows you already knows whether or not you fit a stereotype and anybody who doesn't know you won't have any effect.

Corvettes have one of the best engines of all time (the whole LS series motors), handle well, have 500hp, are reasonably priced...I don't see what there is to not like. Corvette has to be one of the most practical cars ever if you're looking for something fun.

What's not to like:

The looks. It. Looks. Like. Crap.

So I won't buy it. Sure it's fast buy the 03-04 Cobra is too and lemme tell you its a hell of alot cheaper. More bang for the buck AND if fits my tastes look wise.

And why do people still try to get around a swear censor that you can turn off

The moment you talk about modding nothing matters anymore, cause you can make any car faster than any other car. If you mod the vette you'll be ahead agian. But I'm surprised to see from all the car enthusiasts that the main reason they don't like an incredible car is the way it looks. I'm disappointed in you guys...

If it doesn't look good, then how can I be enthused about it?

Well they got the censor for two reasons:

1) They don't want to know what your saying
2) Are clueless to how to turn it off.

And I have the censor for a reason and it is not for someone to try to get around.

[in a retarded voice]Modding a cobra is more cost effective than modding a vette for starters, which is the whole reason he brought it up. This is a MUSTANG forum and generally people here are FORD people. Ford and Chevy do not mix. [/in a retarded voice]

I like cars that look good. Good grief is it really that hard to grasp? Not going to lay down 45,000 dollars for some Viper/Ferrari ripoff!

I love the WS6 TransAm and would love to own one. It looks good and it performs.

The vette performs and thats about it in my book.

and I don't ever want to be referred to as a Car Enthusiast... just a person that likes cars

Dude that is lame as hell. That whole stereo type can be said for all exotic cars. The rich old guys are really the only ones who can afford them except for the kid who has rich parents.

yup, my dad wants to buy an 03-04 cobra next summer, so I have been checking out ads for him. You can find 500-600rwhp 03/04s with low miles in the $25k-$30k range.
