cel-shading the car in PS

in the process of photoshoping my car to cel-shaded style for my sig.

its so easy to do. basically add a new layer, take out the line tool and really small increments go over every dam crease and color gradient.

there is a writeup on the net somewhere but the link i had doesnt work anymore.

this is mine cel shaded with some off name photoshop program. im going to redo it with PS CS2 when i get it from my bud.

Yea I was gonna say can't you just create a new mask layer and trace everything, then shut the image layer off and color it?

but u kno mine looks cleaner. cuz i trace it differently.

i used the polygonal lasso tool to draw my lines to give them different depth. and i never saw a tutorial

I am speaking in flash basically. I never really used paintshop or photoshop. I do all my sigs with as program that came on pc. I mean the layer above the pic. Hehe.

yeah i couldnt remember how to get the line tool to work(i couldnt even find it), so i had to do mine freehand.

I just remembered that I started doing this in paint, but trying to make my car look the way I wanted it to. Not just tracing. It's not done. I think I started editing on jpg, then saved it to bmp or something. The quality went way down and it just pissed me off so much I stopped working on it.
