painting pipes and stuff

i finally got around to it. yesterday i popped one off at 20psi, so i had to pull over and fix it(just enough so it ran) and babied it all day yesterday and today without bewst(a hard thing to do).

so earlier tonight i decide to get under there and put the pipe back in fully and clamp it down, when i get under the car i notice the pipes have gotten pretty dam rusty over the course of a few months. i planned on powdercoating them but after my impatience to get the fmic in and running, i realized unless i need to smog the car, im not taking that dam fmic out to run the side mount while im waiting for IC pipes to get powdercoated.

so im giving them the powdercoated look without the powdercoated price.

heres the link to my CD page.

its also going to be a writeup. i see people powdercoating stuff nowadays cause they dont properly know how to prep and paint. plus since these pipes are basically out of eyes reach(unless youre looking) im really not worried how perfect they come out. later on i WILL powdercoat the upper IC pipes since i have the stock plastic pieces and bov to go there, but still its not a priority.

plus im painting the crappy purple Greddy BOV red. itll look clean when im done.

Powdercoating is not that pricey and it will withstand fuel, carb/injector cleaner as well as being more resistant to peeling and being scratched. But hey it looks good
