helps to remove the parts i went over my manifold, alternator ac compressor with a wire brush just to get some dirt and what not off, cleaned them with degreaser. Then i pretty much started to evenly sand the parts starting with 40grit gradually working up to 800grit wet ( 40.60.80.120ect ect ect ), id get the surfaced as smooth as possible with the 40 grit, move up to 60 and get it smoother, then the 80..so on and so forth.Once i got it as smooth as i wanted it i cleaned them again with a degreaser cleaned it all off and picked up some Mothers Billett Aluminum Polish and put a few coats on using a dremel tool to buff the polish in.

Re: finnally finished under my hood

dark shadow: thanks it almost took me a year to fully do everything..but of course i wasnt working on it every single day, if i worked on it everyday it most likely would have been done much much sooner.
Brad: haha i hear ya man i was a little iffy about dealing with the sandpaper buti ended up going for it anyways. You just have to make sure when you sand your making an even and smooth surface and your set to go
