Re: PS: truck on 33's with a 3in lift

Umm....no I haven't been going for a street truck look for atleast 6 months or more

Edit: Actually now that I think about it it's been longer then 6mo's. Ever since I got my tires which has been about 8 months now i've been going for offroad. That was why I got the safari bar and lights. Plus the tbar crank to raise the front of my truck up more.

O ok, sorry lol. It doesn't look bad, but I'm not into the whole bullet hole wheels...I think this looks better..
btw, it's a 4x4 5 speed 4 banger...and it'll walk through some mud like crazy.

Re: PS: truck on 33's with a 3in lift

I'd like to aventually get a gen 1-2 ranger to build for the hardcore offroading. My truck will just see some trails and a bit of mud since it is 2wd.

That truck there has been through it all lol. Only has a little over 100k on it and several rebuilds under the hood. I wish I woulda bought it...but didn't have the cash at the time.

yeah i like it too. screw the grill guard, your never going to need it, get the lift and tires instead. and a locker. ARB air, or an OX locker, those are what I want... if I ever get a Jeep again lol

Re: PS: truck on 33's with a 3in lift

Well I figure the grill gaurd would be handy because I can mount a wench on it, but I also like the look of it too. Other things i've considered is getting a custom front bumper build with a skidplate. Basicly it would eliminate my front bumper allowing me more room to clear steep inclines or rocks and what not.

I can't imagine an instance where you will need a brush guard, let alone a winch, especially when you say:

but hey, i guess you never know.

BTW, I definately can't figure out why you would want to screw a prostitute on a grill guard???

When I say trails I mean some forreal trains. Not just back roads. My truck wont touch any mud really because it'll screw things up. Anyway the winch will come in handy on hills and what not that my locked 2wd can't get up. Some of the areas up in TN can be pretty nasty(which you gotta remember i'll probably be moving to)

Re: PS: truck on 33's with a 3in lift

id do a prerunner if i were you, since it is a 4x2. more high speed flat offroading. cause the stuff you are talking about doing are more stuff that my truck does.

Re: PS: truck on 33's with a 3in lift

My truck will be able to do mild trails, but nothing like rock crawling. There is a guy who has a ranger like mine with 3.5 spindles and aal's and something else added to the rear i'm not sure of. He is also running a 35in tire with a l/s rear end and does some pretty crazy offroading. Let me see if I can find a pic of his truck.

Edit:

Here we go. This is a pic of his truck with a link to his cardomain site which has tons of info. This guy is a badass when it comes to 2wd offroading!

i like the lift, tires, and that prerunner style stuff with the skidplate.

its not 4wd so you really dont want to do any slowpoke serious off roading, but you could plow through flat fields and ****.
