suspension work...

I got my panhard bar in over the weekend and after messing with the exhaust I just put in some turndowns, the car is much louder, has a deeper exhaust note, and handles better with more predictable steering. I haven't railed on it too much yet cuz I don't want to hit a patch of sand and put it into the curb or a ditch.

I missed a couple of steps in there but it turned out well. Their instructions are VERY detailed.

It's important to have very sharp drill bits and use wd40 to keep them cool, I think I wore out a few titanium bits

Re: suspension work...

I may do side exhaust eventually, if I can find a decent version that doesn't restrict flow much

Re: suspension work...

^^spintechs...........

seriously though, unless you go straight pipe or turbo-style muffler, any chambered muffler is gonna restrict flow. thats the downside with getting something that sounds so utterly badass. i didnt feel a difference with my spintechs, mostly cause ive learned not to expect much from exhausts, they make nice noise if done right, and some help a bit, but unless youre doing header-back, its merely just for the sound.

Re: suspension work...

It stabilizes the rear-end. Keeps it from moving sideways during cornering which makes the car much more predictable. I'd love to have a MM torque-arm and panhard bar combo. Too bad I'm broke.

Yep, I plan to get the torque arm eventually.

Once you have both the torque arm and panhard bar you can ditch the UCA's and eliminate the binding problem that they cause.

I plan to get the torque arm, then I'll move to the front and do a MM K member and coil overs.

Hey my buddy has a set of lake pipes off of a nascar busch series car on his 94 cobra they look great and sound awsome. He used them with single chamber borlas. Plus they are nice and flat so no chance of draging the on a lowered car.

Re: suspension work...

Everything.

Panhard bar locates the rear, it generally goes diagnally from one side of the rear, and mounts on the body/chassis on the other size of the car. It keeps the rear from trying to wander side to side, making the control arms more effective since its one less motion for them to control, and theyre less prone to being twisted.
