My Stump Puller

Heres my "Stump Puller" (Oldsmobile joke about the ridiculous amount of torque compared to HP that the 455's have)

1964 Oldsmobile 442 F-85
64 442's are rare as it is, but this is 1 of 3 F-85's with Power Windows, and chances are the other 2 are probably melted by now

Got some Minor Work done to it:
  • 1970 Olds 455 bored to 468CID (.060 over)
  • Xtreme Energy Hydraulic Flat Tappet Cam
  • RPM Heads
  • Balanced & Blueprinted
  • 3:73 Rear Gears
  • Weld Draglite Wheels
  • M/T Indy Profile S/S Rear Tires
  • Griffin SCCA Radiator (Made for SCCA Off Road Trucks, largest you can buy as of last year. ALOT cheaper than getting one custom)
  • 3 Speed Auto Trans
  • Trans Cooler
bunch more that I'm too lazy to list.

Still have a way to go. Have the interior to finish, as well as some suspension and other chassis stuff.

Engine should be over 650 ft-lbs by the spring, should be there EASY. Not sure on HP yet, but Shes gonna get dyno'ed here soon.

And onto the Pictures

Re: My Stump Puller

I think his 440 is at the rear wheels lol. What are the stock hp/tq specs on that? Is it net rated / gross / etc back then they rated things quite differently.

I know that, that is why I said i was just messing around.

and for some reason, his "Hand" didnt show up as a picture before, so I thought he was referring to his signature.

Yes, the 490 was gross, but even with the loss at the fly, it is still an insane amount for 40 years ago
Just take a ride in one, they'll suprise you. Only place they're lacking is up high, but I'll have that fixed this upcoming year.
