New pics of the truck + 1 sunset picture with new camera

Few pics of the truck and 1 sunset pic I took with my new camera. None of this was with a tripod. If I had one the sunset picture would of been even better.

I wish I could get a good sunset pic, but here everything is so damn flat! (One of the millions of things that make me wish my parents hadn't moved from NC to CA to KS)

Austin is nice as well for sunset shots. my sister lives on a hilltop and the sunsets are nice. not too many houses around and the landscaping is perfect.

The sunset looks awesome! The last picture of the truck almost looks like its Azure Blue with the way the lights hitting it.

Also, what size tires do you have and did it affect your gas mileage? My 31's killed my mileage.

I wouldn't say go as far as regear. He should have 3.73 which is fine with 31's. What you need to do is get you a programmer. I have 245/75/16 which is basicly a 30.5in tire. I was getting 15city and 18hwy before I got my programmer. Now i'm avg almost 19 in city and about 24-25hwy. Goto bamachips.com guy knows his stuff when it comes to rangers.

Mine cost me 430, but I got it through a friend at a discount. You can also get a chip with 1 or 2 different tunes I think and it doesn't cost as much or he might have some first gen programmers that he sells for around 300 I think with 3 tunes. Just check out the site it has the prices on it.

It'll do more then improve your mileage. I noticed my truck shifts smoother and feels more solid(felt kinda sloppy before) also I could tell a good different in how responsive it was when I got on it. It's by far the best thing i've gotten for the truck.

Just curious what are you getting as far as mileage goes? Another thing to consider is getting your speedo corrected at a ford dealership. They will do it up to 31in tires. That's probably what makes it seem like your getting horrible gas mileage.

Re: New pics of the truck + 1 sunset picture with new camera

I went from 300-330 miles on a tank to about 250-280. Of each tank, about 150 miles are highway miles. From talking to other people, I was getting crappy mileage before the 31s.

What you use to get is about avg for a 3.0 ranger ext cab. When I got my truck I was avg about 17.5 all city and the best I got was 20.5hwy when I had the stock tires plus i've got 4.10 gears. Your truck will do better on the hwy because of the gears then in city, but with the programmer i'm getting good mileage both city and hwy.
