Ship me an airbag.

besides, its a ****ing airbag. its designed to go off towards YOUR HEAD while at the same time your head is moving towards the dashboard during an accident. his *** has has padding and was stationary. two objects reacting against one another has got to hurt more than one object reacting on a stationary one. physics people, physics. id rather my *** be getting the bag and propping me up then my head flying at the dashboard at 50mph and that ****ing bag explode at whatever force it does against it. my *** has a hell of a lot more give to it then my face.

You don't set an airbag off with your face sitting directly on top of it.

umm yeah, this i know. however, it does go off when your head is lunging towards a dashboard or steering column, which carries more energy than an object that is stationary, standard physics.

lets see, a car is moving at 35mph, until it was hit by something and now the vehicles forward momentum has reached 0 but your head is still flying towards the dashboard at 35mph (newtons first law of motion states that "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it."), and your body or head will continue its momentum until a force is applied to it, be it your head slams into a hard plastic dashboard or a exploding bag of air. we have two forces reacting upon eachother, we have one force which is the head with a forward motion, and a airbag exploding outward. im almost 100% positive that two forces moving against eachother and colliding has more energy during impact than only one object being stationary(the ***, the airbag in both the car and the ground are moveable forces since the only time they are forces is when they are exploding).

say what you want, i am almost positive that 1) it doesnt hurt as bad as ***** boy makes it seem, sure, its gonna feel like something, but its only an exploding airbag thats meant for your face that has 0 cushion to it when compared to your ***, and 2) hes over-reacting for the camera from watching too much Jackass.

btw physics was one of my better points of HS. i was helping the other students understand some of the models we were using, cause it was easier for me to make a metaphor of the principles using modern day things than the teacher who was past her prime.

Thats because its trying to keep you from dying. Other than that setting an airbag off on any part of your body is not a very good idea.

true, but id rather it be my *** sitting on it when it goes off than my face flying forward at it when it goes off.

I would like to see you try it, I think it would be a fun video to watch and then you can tell us if it hurts your balls or not. Will a junk yard give you an airbag

I'll send you a hundred bucks to buy one with if you promise to post the video. If physics was one of your "stronger points", I'd hate to see how you did in anything else. Stop for a second and think about the velocity at which the bag comes out.

so thomas, basically what your saying is you would rather you face it a solid object such as the steering wheel rather than an air filled balloon type object?

from personal experience, they feel quite like brick walls rather than air filled balloon type pillows

no you dolt, id rather it explode with my *** not moving on top of it, than it explode with my face moving AT it.

yes, but that velocity is hitting a non-moving object (his ***) and all the energy is propelling him upwards, dissipating it very fast. its not going to hurt as much as if his *** was moving towards the bag at the same time the bag was going off, that would have more energy on impact and hurt more.

think of it this way, when two cars collide head on, they have more energy at impact then if one car rear ends one that is stationary. this is what i am trying to convey, the energy during impact of two objects. an airbag is meant to dissipate the energy of your body moving forward during a collision, this is its job. shooting someones *** that has more flesh on it then your face, an *** that is NOT MOVING is an even better scenario, it has less energy to dissipate, thus it hurts less.

YES its gonna hurt, YES you will know an airbag just exploded under your ***. NO it will not hurt half as bad as if one had just saved your head from impacting a dashboard. get this through your thick ****ing skulls, its not even that hard to understand that its not going to hurt even half as bad on your *** as your face would feel.

yes, but thats because your face was also moving towards it, two forces reacting upon eachother carries more energy than if the airbag just exploded against an object that was previously stationary. you get what you see on the video, it just forces the other object away.

With all due respect, I wasn't asking! I know how airbags were designed/how they work/why we use them, I was just referring to nate's comment about airbag vs steering wheel/dashboard, I'd prefer airbag btw...

Re: I'm kind of scared to watch this

First off Thomas I'm sure that the people who design airbags to be used for their intended purpose are smarter about it than you. Thats why they say its bad to sit to close to the steering wheel

Second have you ever seen the movie Armageddon. If you have you should remember the part where their debating the best way to make the Meteor miss hitting the Earth. The black guy wanted to shot it with some Nukes, but it was discovered that that wouldn't work because the energy would have somewhere to escape to. So they deside that they would have to put a Nuke inside the Meteor because the energy would have to escape somehow and the only way to do it would be to blow throw the rock. The point is the guy had the airbag trapped inside what appeared to be a metal trashcan with his *** and balls covering its only exits, so that made all that energy shot straight up at him.

BTW I don't know much of **** about Physics, it just seems to make sense to me.

I never said that it would hurt as bad as slamming your head on a dashboard. Regardless of whether or not the other object is moving, those things still pop out at a very high velocity. Have you not heard of people getting "burns" on their arms from air bags deploying?

It's not like the dude sat there and cried like a *****. So what argument are you trying to make again? Because I'm lost here.

I dissabled my airbags in my car I dont like airbags. plus my wife is so short
4'9" she has to sit on top of the steering wheel to to reach the gas pedal if one deployed it would probably kill her.
