Re: KB GT500

The centrifugal blower is a belt-driven turbocharger.

And since I spelled centrifugal correctly, I am obviously right.

I've heard of several people using turbo's off of a powerstroke. Not the best choice in the world, but if you can get it cheap enough, it'd be worth it.

Re: KB GT500

Do some more research on it though, I think some of the powerstroke have an internal wastegate that you can't modify.

I'm talking about current production motors from the big three. Chryslers new Hemi motors are overrated, but I guess their not that bad, but they don't have much of an aftermarket.

Old school big blocks would go something like 426 Hemi > Boss 429 > 454 or something like that.

Re: KB GT500

Ok, I can deal with that. Chrysler screwed up with the Hemi by not making it easy to mod. The computer on the thing is insane.

OOOOHHhhhh, you must mean hemispherical head design. Because it was my recollection that Ford, Chevy, AND Dodge used hemi heads.... I could almost swear when you look at the engine specs of a top fuel dragster that it says FORD hemi, not dodge hemi

You should check out the SOHC "NASCAR" 427 that Ford designed, built and tried to use in 1965.

Ford FE engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hemi (from "hemisphere") or "crossflow cylinder head" is a design of internal-combustion engines in which the cylinder head's combustion chamber is of hemispherical form. The term, "Hemi engine" is a trademark of Chrysler Corporation, though the concept is used by many manufacturers.

Yeah I know about it, but they weren't sold in a production car if I'm not mistaken, but I don't know that for sure.

Well, you are a jeep owner...we have to be careful when assuming what you do and don't know.
