Cool New wheels on the stang

Stuck with the black FR500's because I love them. However I decided to step down to a 17" wheel. Tires are to expensive on 18's and I'm wanting to auto-x next year. Tires for the 18's in the size I wanted are about 300-400 a tire vs the 315/35/17 rears that only cost me 130 a tire. I also took the nasty chin spoiler off. I will be putting the new one on this week as well as black stainless lettering for the rear bumper.

Good luck catching me....Can that thing even take a corner without flipping? Though it would be pretty hilarious to see a lifted wrangler auto-xing.

Ask brent how fast I can take a corner. He hasn't rode with me since that one time I took the round about at about 40 with the doors off. He yelled at me the whole way haha

Re: New wheels on the stang

Nothing wrong with 17's man. I went through the same thing when I got my wheels. I really wanted 18's but I wanted that extra 1/2" in the rear and to pay less for tires more, lol.

Besides, I think black 17's look bigger...I've had a few people ask whether my bullitts were 18's.

Are the front Sumi's 245's or 275's? If they're 245's be careful around those curbs and ****...the tire offers no lip protection whatsoever. I've got 2 rims sitting in the basement with some curb rash.

I went with 275's for that very reason. I kinda miss the 18's up front, but the rear definitely looks better then the 18's.

Re: New wheels on the stang

It looks fairly clean and I am a fan of the polished/machined wheel lips.
