I'm tired of this crap even before Obama's video. That's how stupid this all is.

I'm still voting Rudy though

F-Rudy. Rudy Giuliani Urban Legend

Re: Debate '08: Obama Girl vs Giuliani Girl

Yeah every liberal uses that as their excuse why not to vote for Rudy. You can believe these propagandists.

I also find it funny how that video reflects a union. Unions have their own agenda. including their own candidates.

You can sit there and accuse him of riding high and mighty of 9/11 which was just months away from his leave of office since his term was up so it happened at the end of everything or you can realize that he literally cleaned up NYC. Crime, Homeless, Graffiti/Garbage all went down thanks to him. As for unions he stood strong against them which is why NY teachers, FDNY, and NYPD are not much fans of him, but he stuck to it and NYS is a great place to live once again.

There is so much truth to 9/11 covered it's a disgrace and many urban legends about it as well. I have many friends who are volunteer firefighters who disagree with you and endorse Rudy. Perhaps not even most of them were responders to the incident but none the less they know he may very well be a great president. As for those lost it is very sad, to this day and until that day is forgotten, if it ever is.

But I've stated before, those two towers had the same financial influence as does the city of Boston. With a steady economy and that area being some of the most expensive and important real estate in all of New York State. It was a major blow to the area, if not the nation when those floors collapsed like pancakes, one after another and four stories I believe into the ground with the city's subway system also being brought to a halt.

He wasn't being insensitive to the victims, he was doing the only thing, as well as the best thing one could do. Clean and rebuild. As they cleaned they were able to find body parts and slowly but surely ID them. It was the really the only way. Haw many people went through the wreckage bucket by bucket for anything and everything, of something which was once a skyscraper had become a couple of beams and dust.

As my brother said "It was just all rubble. They were talking about testing the dust and dirt on my boots for DNA". Those victims on those floors were turned to dust, either by the heat or the impact. You couldn't search for bodies.

I hear many responders now saying how they've had some health issues because of were they were sent. They now make me sick, those who I once looked up to and brought a new patriotic feel I know find traitors. If you're a firefighter you should know that you are risking your life for the sake of others and these responders paid a great deal for many of us. They now have the nerve to turn around and act as if it's everyone else's fault. I've lost my respect for them.

I'd vote for him because of the job he did pre-9/11. Not 9/11 although I still think he made the best decisions at that time.

It's hard for those outside the greater NY/NJ area to understand all of this...You were there...I was there (granted a but further away)...saw the **** first hand.

It's kind of like the whole katrina stuff. People outside think "Poor New Orleans People"...yet those of us here are like "Those people were funking retards...when told to GTFO...GTFO!".

It's all in perception...and it's hard to understand when you weren't there.

Re: Debate '08: Obama Girl vs Giuliani Girl

I didn't see what had happened until I got home. All of a sudden over the loudspeakers at school we heard what was going on.

I do remember going back to school the next morning. The air had a burnt smell to it and the sky was a grayish color. The wind had blown everything to the east.

As for those New Orleans people I think they were stupid for staying. While I don't know the extent of down there personally I cannot say much though.

I don't mind the idea of unions, however they are just as corrupt, and produce little, except for what personal interest they have.

Just out of curiousity, but how exactly does hurrying up to clean up a potentially toxic mess detract from the memories and lives of those lost?

Unfortunately, at both times, I lived in areas where I was subjected to both 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina directly. Call it bad luck or whatever you want, but Rudy handled that situation and the emotions of the people as a whole far better than anyone would have ever expected...now you can't say the same for the local government's of louisiana (N.O. more specifically)...not to mention the fact, there were places with far more damage that NO even came close to sustaining, but thats neither here nor there...The people of NO and the local govt. of NO are all a disgrace, as people witnessed, so for those who say poor NO, I say screw them lol...but that's just my $.02...

back to rudy, It does not make sense to me that his cleaning up the mess would detract any from the memory of what happened...you don't honor those who died by leaving a hazardous pile of debris sitting around...you honor those in your mind, heart and in your prayers...after a car accident where someone dies, they don't leave the pile of wrecked cars in that same place to honor that person, they clean up the mess and those close to the person honor them...that's how it works...but again, just my $.02...sorry for the rant...

We've got laws now, that protect people from the things that Unions used to protect them against so I really see no value in them, other than harassing employers and most of america.
