Don't get me started on the original topic of the video. Lets say that county has so many issues. I know since I live in the county, next to it. And they don't have aircraft.

I love the aircraft in the video, I wish it were true. Just for stupid drivers since we have more than enough of those here.

Yes and If I'm not mistaken there double fine zones in some areas. Does anyone get caught?

Re: speed monitored by aircraft

I think that it is a huge problem. Counties don't have the money but put the signs up to intimidate drivers to follow the law and not speed.

That would be Dekalb county. The cops protested over budget cuts and said see if we write citations. Sure enough tickets were down 12% magically.

Re: speed monitored by aircraft

Down along Gilgo Beach there are plenty of signs and lane markers for aircraft to catch speeders. Of course the area is popular with car cruises, meet ups, and the occasional speeders.

Re: speed monitored by aircraft

Well I know that there is a killer speeder near Fort Rucker, AL. I spoke to a warrant officer who flies the apache and they run night ops and run radar with the state troopers.

They have a blast.
