There's my new background!

ended up 4th out of 9 in my class in that IDPA match. I didn't shoot my best by any stretch of the imagination.

Does that jacket not get in your way as far as accessing the holster and spare mags?

Re: my new background

how do you like that M&P 9mm. I had a S&W sigma 9mm and compaired to my Glock I hated it. Is the M&P a lot better?

I have a Springfield 1911 I love it it's the best shooting gun I have

Re: my new background

the best part is that I bought my 1911 from a guy who's dad gave it to him. he didn't know what he had. he wanted to sell it, I asked him what he wanted for it. he told me $250. so you bet your sweet *** I went straight to the bank

Re: my new background

the only thing that the M&P has in common with the sigma is the great ergonomics. Everything else is way better. It has a nice trigger, swappable backstraps, true accessory rail, and was designed around the .40 cal round. It has a fully supported chamber and you can shoot lead reloads.

Re: my new background

the things I hated about the Sigma was the mile long trigger pull, the looseness of all the parts. and if you didn't clean the firing pin hole really good every few hundred rounds it would give light hits on the primer and not fire the round. not that I don't clean my guns everytime I use them. but I shoot several hundred rounds in one sitting

a lot of northerners including myself also believe that people should be able to own a gun whatever their reason may be. where im from, i dont have much of a need to own a gun to defend myself... nor do i have a need to own one as a hobby. in fact, it would probably be more of an inconvienence to me in order to own a gun.

but when it comes to owning and collecting guns as a hobby it just doesnt interest me at all. probably because i have nothing to shoot it at. the only animals i see besides cats, dogs and birds are dead along the side of a highway. oh, and i see a few cows on the drive from college to home and vice versa.

I carry either the old reliable Remington 180gr semi-jacketed HPs or 230gr Golden Saber HPs. Several tests I have seen the Golden Sabre round has a near 100% mass retention on penetration and tremendous expansion in a very controlled pattern.
