Re: My New RIDE

Is that a Yoshi slip on pipe i see??

Bad *** bike, but do yourself a favor and get either a Brothers Performance or a Vance and Hines full exhaust. You will get tired of hearing that Yoshi if you ever do any highway riding.... IMO

 Dammit I want a BIKE!!!!!! My wife and are a so waiting until we can both find a couple of 636's or something a little more powerful than a 600.. Maybe a GXSR 750 or something... Enjoy the bike!!!!!!!

Re: My New RIDE

nice bike!! dont be a squid

i need sliders but am currently completely broke, so they will have to wait. i doubt u need to lower it, as the hondas sit pretty low it seems, and the stock suspension is adjustable. make sure u adjust the static height if the previous owner hasnt or if he/she is a noticably different weight than yourself. be careful and wear ALL your gear, and buy the best u can afford..its worth it.

i rode like all day today and am WORN out (since i just got my cast off . it's like 100* and the highway wind is brutal on my neck, but it is great fun.

u ridden before, riden?

Re: My New RIDE

it seems some people think it comes from a contraction of "squirrly kid"

others think, "The term derives from what is discernable from his corpse: A helmet with stringy fleshy bit dangling from the bottom."

still, others think is comes from an undescribable occurance of extreme energy between brad pitt and david spade when they fought together in vietnam

Re: My New RIDE

wow yeah, that's a lot of bike for a first bike...

Be careful on that thing! keep your right wrist down, a high right wrist and a couple of big bumps could = the front wheel off the ground and you going off the back of the bike.

Re: My New RIDE

i did the first day of the MSF course today, and go back tommorow, then ill be done with it. I already had my liscense and had been riding for a couple weeks, so i didnt think it'd benefit me much, other than the insurance discount. I must say i highly recommend it. Yea, it's boring sometimes (though not much), and even if u know all the info they tell you, the thing that has benefited me the most so far is the experience while riding.

They are crappy bikes (the one im on is an older honda 250), but, having started on my zx6r, its nice to be on an easier bike and do all the drills and things we've done...things i wouldnt normally do just for the sake of practice on my bike. They teach you some good stuff and i am actually quite a bit more confident on my bike than i was..and i still have another day of it. i didn't think it'd help me that much, but it has.

i highly recommend it to you riden.

Re: My New RIDE

Yeah I was actually thinking about it. & I could use an ins. discount. I actaully found out today that my bike was a racing bike haha. Thats a big deal for it to be my first bike... especailly learning. It has alot of aftermarket mods, like the whole exhaust sys., headers, etc. Plus the bike has been lightened. So now it makes since to why my friend couldnt understand why it was so much faster than his gxr. The guy at the honda shop that checked it out for me today said that it was alot of bike for me haha. So now im a little nervous.
