Re: The New Ride

very nice, mods, info, etc?

I would do a few things right off the bat

1. Inspect/change plugs if needed (tighten to CORRECT SPECS)
2. Inspect compression make sure its good
3. Change fuel filter
4. Dyno and make sure its tuned right

Re: The New Ride

Awesome! Looks stock but then looks can be deceiving, especially with these cars.

As said get the car checked out to ensure it's in top shape..I'd say the tune is critical...a bad/improper tune can destroy a car like that that is so dependent on one.

I have a SCT in the back seat that the guy gave me with the car. Everything is solid on this car. Grey and black interior is amazing shape. Not a stain or anything.

Re: The New Ride

nice, but do get the tune checked, no need to take someones word when a 75 dollar checkup can save you 6k in an engine rebuild.

There are a couple things I am gonna do. There is a pop in the rear end if you give it some gas and it lunges forward it will make a popping sound. I want to make sure the tune is correct and take more pics to show off.

IRS clunk. Go ahead and order some good aftermarket diff bushings and check for a leak while you're there. If it doesn't have an IRS brace, go ahead and get one of those on the way as well.

Car looks good.

And spec - satin silver was the only silver produced in terminators. You're thinking DSG and Mineral Gray difference.

And +1 on getting the tune checked...we're serious...

Re: The New Ride

Not a problem, there's several of us that have been around these cars for several years. Isn't much I haven't touched on mine (if nothing else just to clean).

Not a bad list at all. I'd be interested to know which bushings are in the IRS being as they are Delrin...I also see it already has an IRS brace, very good.

Throw a lower pulley on that thing and have a 500hp car.

Re: The New Ride

Let me get the paper work out of the car. He had most of the papers for everything he did to it which is why I am pretty sure he is being honest about the tune but i will make my way to BR to see Rob and get a tune done.

Re: The New Ride

I'd probably start by checking the driveshaft, make sure all 4 bolts are tight on it.

It sounds like slack in the driveline.

Re: The New Ride

Ill check it as soon as I can find a place to get under it... Lol... I hope its something simple... I didnt notice it till after I got it home and was driving to work today... I might bring it somewhere and get them to check it... Anything else I should get them to check that might cause that problem?

they made a satin silver and a silver metallic, just wondering if it was the rare one.

the driveshaft is known to bump the back of the trans~ not enough room to slide a bit~ its not bad just something that happens but make SURE everything is installed right on the rear. If its urethane bushings I would swap them out for Delrin far better choice.

Damn they only made 323 satin silvers in 03...but it looks like his is metallic silver, according to his sig.

What's the biggest difference between the 2, amount of metallic flake?
