Oh, and if I ever have to go a long distance I usually takes wife's Volvo. That helps me keep the miles low.
That's cool man, your car gonna last. I've been thinking about getting a beater for the crappy weather days.

I pulled the tape after letting them sit overnight, after unwrapping them. They are metallic black and I clear coated them as well. I taped them off to keep the chrome outer lip intact.

---------- Post added at 10:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:02 AM ----------

Yeah I sanded them down first. Take your time sanding, the prep work is the most important. I used 220 grit sandpaper.

---------- Post added at 10:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:04 AM ----------

I used rustoleum metallic black paint and a crystal clear enamel(clear coat).
