accident. Im so lucky

So I was driving to orientation today and as I tried to take an exit and started to slide. So stupidly I accidently locked the tires and spun around up over the curb into the median between exits. It was wet which explains the slide and the spinning. I slid all the way across intothe on ramp onto the highway and stopped. Only damage? Busted headlight and my ego. Couldve blown tires, lost the bumper or even flipped it. I am a lucky dude. Drove it home too

Glad your ok. Make sure to check your ball joints and stuff. Good chance it threw your alignment off...

Oh man sorry to hear. Glad you're ok! And she's mostly ok. Ive done the median slide and got a paint chip. Thought we were gonna flip, too. It was rainy, dark, and I had the headlight covers on. We got stuck in the mud and were pulled out by a pickup truck with some people we knew.

Yeah I think the alignment is off. But idk the force threw the light straight out. Cop showed up and didn't do ****. Yelled at me. But thanks everyone she should be up and good as new soon (with a few paint chips in the bumper).

Extent of damage now that I'm home.
- paint chips on bumper
- bottom grille bent in (hidden by license plate)
- curb rash
- had to Jerry rig my headlight back on
Nothing else

Thats good you didnt flip and ur ok. Thats weird how the headlight just popped out without hitting anything. A cop did that to me before he was mad cuz he thought i was goin the wrong way lol.

Yeah that is weird!
I did have a bumper hang off my old (brand new then) Sentra from spinning it in the rain but not a headlight.

Yeah some plastic clips broke off the headlight so that's why it flew off from the force of the bump. But her lights are all fixed and she's back on the road ttomorrow

Craigslist usually has parts pretty cheap. When my fiancé wrecked mine I got a replacement side marker light for 5bucks

I'll keep that in mind. The grille only I can see (and it bothers me haha) and headlights work and look new still except under the hood you can see I used some miscellaneous parts to secure them

I had hit a ditch in my 04 one time one rainy night and my headlight did the same thing. Never did really understand how it flew out either because bumper didn't take much damage and what damage it did have was on the opposite side. That and my pony in the grille both flew off. Weird.

Maybe the bumper had enough force up to jerk the headlight out but not enough to pop the bumper off. And my pony is held on with double sided tape on the billet grille and didn't budge

For anyone else that's had something similar happen: do you get nervous taking the car back out? I'm jittery and don't wanna take the highway anymore. Is this normal??

I remember one time i spun my car on the entrance ramp of the freeway something similar to u it was raining pretty hard tho. I use to be kinda nervous to drive in the rain after that and now i still drive really cautious in the rain. I think its normal for u to be a little nervous.

But when you fall off the horse you have to get right back up and ride it again. Just be careful.
