Yes it is very sad about the innocent person killed I can't imagine being asleep in bed with my husband and a drunk driver driving through our bedroom wall and killing my husband and yes he should have been setting an example. Especially when we work drunk driving wrecks all the time! He should have known but was being careless and ignorant. Now he sits in jail. It's also sad about the stang lol this isn't the county I work in. I happened in a neighboring county but still know people who reside there and work there :/

I think people like him or cops should get more of a punishment because they see it all the time and they are far more educated on it. They shouldn't get less punishment. :/ but what can u do?! The justice system is screwed up!

I know in my concealed weapons class I was told I would be held accountable more than others that haven't been through the course due to the shared information and laws. So why do cops, fire fighters, and law officials just get slaps on their wrist? This is one screwed up country when it comes to somethings!

That just plain sucks to get run over by a car while you are sleeping in your bedroom.

very sad story indeed and prayers to the family. I think he should get as much punishment as the next guy but to say firefighters or cops should get more punishment is a very irresponsible
comment. DUI awareness is abundantly available to everyone and is nothing new to anyone these days. it's all over tv, radio, and billboards. how are cops and firefighters "more aware"?

I dont think they should recieve harsher punishment but they should recieve the same as the average joe which alot of times they dont.I do believe that police,firefighters,EMT,ect,ect,ect...should be "more" aware because they deal with the effects of it on a daily basis. Its like a social worker seeing child abuse on a daily basis then going home and beating her kid.I guess what im saying is that seeing it or hearing about it everyday should make them think about it more than the average drunk.

How do you plead not guilty to something like that? I've lost all hope in humanity lately.

because people don't care. they don't want to take responsibility of their actions. it's a shame

Re: This poor stang GT ;/

Yea but the sad thing is he will probably get off if he has enough moneyfor a good lawyer , because it doesn't matter if you are guilty or not any more it all depends how much money you have. And in my opinion that is how our so called justice system works.
