I drew the one on my arm... and included my Grandpa's name up on the top on one of the hoses. He is the one who got me started tinkering, so i had to add him in there somewhere.

and like i mentioned.. this style will evenntually cover my right arm from shoulder to elbow (done) and then the inner bicep, my right pec up to my collar bone, and then my right shoulder blade to ribs. caaant f'n waaaiit!!!

The Celtic design was drawn by a friend in 2000, we got too drunk that night for him to actually ink me so we decided to wait until the following weekend. He died 3 days later in a motor cycle
Accident so I had it done by his brother in memory of him.
My left forearm with the cross is my uncle and aunt who passes away and my grandma and grandfather from my fathers side.
My right upper arm is a cemetery scene done by my good fried 2 years ago and is dedicated To my uncle who was like my father and my grandfather from my dads side.

All done finally. Took at total of 28 hours start to finish. Start my 3/4 sleeve next Sunday. I'll probably never stop getting ink, I'm only 22 and look like that hahahaha

Re: Post Your Ink - Part II

Not all tattoos fade,it all about the quality of ink and how it is applied. Tattoos can last a lifetime if done right and applied properly.

Of course I did not mean this literally, they are going to fade to a point and sunlight does affect them but if they are done right and taken care of right they will last a lifetime. The techniques, supplies and equipment (not to mention the sunblock nowadays that can block vitamin D) that artist use nowadays go alot futher than your mom and pop tattoos of the old. Why would you spend $200-$2k on a fine piece of art and take it into the pool or bake it in the sunlight? This is just plain retarted and total direspect for the artist in my opinion. A artist spends alot of time and energy into a piece and if you come back in "2 Years" to get it touched up what makes you think he or she is gonna do the same quality job when they know they can squeek by doing the minimum because you are gonna go lay in the sun in your speedo or jump in a chlorine infested pool that will eat the color away?

This is a touchy subject for me because perception of art is so different for so many people. There are a ton of "scratchers" out there that have no business picking up a needle. FYI,if you want some of the best in Houston... try Johnny Jackson's Texas body art. They have award winning artists and award winning guest spots all the time.

That's a nice tattoo for your grandparents. I drew one with a cross like that with a cancer ribbon around it.
