Just looks like a shift backfire.. Happens on high-power engines running rich, I think.

Well, I think you're talking about the flamethrower exhaust kit... Honestly, I'm not a fan, but if you like melting your bumper, why not. And yes, it is illegal to use it on the streets.

Yeah it must be backfire. But it can be intentional if I'm not wrong... It won't be a steady fire of course. 'flame thrower' exhaust? Such a thing exists?!!!

Yeah. It's a kit that bolts into the exhaust and sprays an additive.

Re: On a mustang?

thats not something that was done to make fire on purpose, its just how the car is setup. You can buy kits to blow flames out of the exhaust if you wanted but I dont personally like that idea.

In most cases there is still enough fuel left in ur exhaust that u can simple add spark to it and get the same effect(esspecially if uve removed ur cats) or u can buy propane injection kits that mist a small amount of propane into the exhaust and again u ignite it with a spark plug drilled and put roughly 6 inches back from the exhaust tip. The other way i do not recomend but it shuts down spark to a1 or 2 cylenders and ignits the gas in the exhaust insted. Ur example is a race car down shift and my mustang does the same thing from time to time if i manually drop a gear to slow down (i have an auto) its caused mostly because the cars running a littl rich.

If it's illegal there's no point risking it.

U can have it u just cant use it on the street. Also if u go with propane injection kit u can unhook it for when ur street driving so they cant bug u about it and when u go to car shows u can hook it up and u can have it at some drag strips as well (fans love it at night drags).
