Well, I'm a real high roller...I have the same 27" JVC...not a flat screen...not a flat panel...not a lcd....not plasma...just a normal tv ANNNNNND a 19" JVC...not a flat screen...not a flat panel...not a lcd....not plasma...just a normal tv....in fact doesn't even have the inputs for a DVD player.

I used to be real pimp and had a 25" JVC...not a flat screen...not a flat panel...not a lcd....not plasma...just a normal tv without inputs too...

I do have a radio that will let you listen to tv stations though.

~20" CurtisMathes TV mofos. In case you haven't heard all TV broadcasts in 2009 will be digital so analog TVs will be obsolete, unless you get a special adapter for it.

I got the same upconversion DVD player, that TV is pretty sweet. Have you broken down and gotten HD service yet?

Re: Pictures of the HDTV

I already run a digital converter...so I'm not that worried about everything going digital. I've been digital for a few years now.

Re: Pictures of the HDTV

Truth be told, the only people who are going to be affected are the people that get their TV signal over the air. If you're on cable or satellite, you're already golden.

your reciever will still be able to play whatever signal on whatever TV set you have though. i mean cmon, does anyone still just hook up the TV set to their cable outlet and watch TV? almost all cable places have recievers you rent or buy or whatnot.

Just like for temporary, we ran my mom's HD-DVR's secondary output to my standard 42" Zenith Base TV in my room until i got my own reciever, and it worked fine, actually HD on standard TV looked almost as good as HD on HDTV.

Re: Pictures of the HDTV

All the TVs in my house minus the two digital boxes just hook into the tv. So yea people do it. Why the hell would you rent a cable box for regular basic cable when your tv can do it for no extra cost?

That's correct. Regular def channels are just regular def channels, no matter what TV you you're watching 'em on.

It is. There would be no point in getting HD's if they only looked marginally better...
