Probably the days when I would come home from work and he had broken out of his cage, walked up the stairs and would wait for me laying on my pillow. That and the fact that I still haven't gotten walking straight to his cage when I walk in the door. I still have his food in my fridge.

Not sure, thinking about a bearded dragon. They're a bit more social and take up less space (the iguana cage was basically a 6' cube) which is at a premium since I live in an apt. I'd love to have a dog, but im just gone too much and would feel bad leaving one at home alone most of the time.

Yeah, I could financially buy a house but it just doesn't make sense since I work in the fastest dying city in the country to own property here. If I could have a yard for him to be outside in and have shelter, a dog would be the way to go. I just can't leave a dog inside an apartment alone all day... It's cruel IMO.

Beardie is probably what I will do. There are some really cool breedings that I've looks into.

Dayton. Forbes has it as 5th fastest dying in the US. Canton, cleveland, and Youngstown are also on the list. Go Ohio!

Back on animals though, these are some of the beardies I've been looking at. I suspect they're a bit out of my price range though and I'm going to try to find a local breeder to work with.

Sorry to hear that, it's never easy. Beardies are really great considering the ease of care and are really friendly. I've always liked the way they look too; mean but not scary:headbanger:

Here's a pic of my dude. He's my buddy and likes to walk on to my hand and hang out on my shoulders. He's acclimated and doesn't mind people at all. Maybe look into a chameleon.

We had a chameleon when I was growing up (among all kinds of other reptiles lol) and he was super cool. I've kept that in the back of my mind as an option, but I don't have an enclosure that would be suitable for one. I have a setup pretty much ready to go for a bearded dragon, so that sways my decision pretty heavily.

What kind of chameleon is that anyways? He looks awesome. Ours was a veiled chameleon.

He's a panther chameleon, a ambilobe is the locale. Their very hardy like veiled and really personable. A full size cage is only 100$ give or take, but their is always other start up costs. You can maybe convert your iguana cage easily into a mansion for a Cham. I think either way you go, you'll be happy. Veilds are really bad*** too!

I could keep about a dozen chameleons in my iguanas old cage. It's about 6x6x5 feet. The problem is there is no way to keep the crickets in!
