And rots are the same. My grandpa had two rots while i was young, like 3 or 4 named Bear and Grizzly. Bith were as nice as they could be. I would climb on them try to ride them and they never harmed me. But they were also protective
I have a pit also, such a sweet dog, and super protective along with my Doberman(who is trained)

Me too! My aunt just adopted two boxers! 5 year old boy named Tyson, and 2 year old Jody! Tyson is a great dog, learned sit and stay in literally a day. So smart. And he is muscled up pretty good too

Allot of large breed dogs get a bad rap, because there are allot of idiots out there training there dogs to be mean. Any dog raised properly can be good with anyone. The smaller breeds are usually the hardest to train.

Our previous neighbors had one of the largest Doberman's I've ever seen and he was great. I used to visit him everyday. I was sad when they moved.

Pit bulls are the most loyal dogs when it comes to their owners...but it is all in how you train them..I have 4 kids under 8. The first command/practice I taught him was no teeth/no bite. Now of you are playing with him (he's 5 btw) and try to put your hand in his mouth he will turn away and try to keep you from doing it. The most he would hurt anyone is by jumping on them (bad habit trying to break). I honestly think he would try to lick someone's face that was beating me into the ground....

I forgot about a puppy catahoula I had named Ruger. Had to re-home him unfortunately.

Then there's my wifes alcoholic cat. He would attack anything or anyone that came near that bottle.

It is all in the way they are trained, they can be sweet or nasty if they aren't treated right

Speaking of protective dogs, here is my German Shepherd. She's a trained protection dog from Slovenia. A good protection dog has extreme confidence and a good attitude, not fear and aggression. While my dog is naturally protective of me, she is NOT aggressive. When I tell her to attack or show "aggression," she looks terrifying but her tail is wagging the entire time and she can be turned off in a second. It's just what she's trained to do.

She was bred to a Slovakian male and is due in two weeks

I have a horse too, but I have way too many pictures of her and I don't feel like posting any, haha. You can see her next to my Mustang in my album on here.

Beautiful Shepard, mine is very protective but she's not trained to bite or show aggression, she just barks and runs around but if you approach her she runs but I'm sure if you cornered her she wouldn't hold back. She's a big baby though but really hyper.
