[QUOTE=99_GRUMPY_GT;2081649]That is factory paint. But yes I like them too.[/

The paint on these were not applied by the factory were they? From what I remember, Ford didn't color key the mirrors to the paint until '03 or '04...and the mirrors were designed with a pivot so they could fold....just asking cause if your car--which looks like a '99 or '00 had the mirror paint applied by the factory, that's rare...looks sharp though

Yes the mirror match paint is an option with Ford. Not to mention the chrome yellow was 3rd lowest production paint code for 99, only 6800 made with that color.

Love how my set up has turned out and I'm excited to maybe see some more slammed mustangs around soon.

Im on racelands, and yes you get what you pay for lol but i like them for what i use them for. But iv got the whole front end built up for being low. Including steed bump steer and balljoints new bushings and cc plates. I'm running 18x10s all the way around with 5mm up front and nothing in the back. however thats about to change as soon as i have my fenders re rolled and the rears pulled. once thats done my inch and a quarter spacers are going back on the back and i might move up to 8 or 10mm in the front. also the car is coming back down about 3/4 an inch when i do that because even with the 245s on a ten I'm still rubbing. but i just put the rims on a week ago and I'm just waiting for the guys at vip fender rolling to give me a call back about an appointment

So you maxed out the racelands I take it? Those 45s have got to look really stretched out on there.

Why not just hag the car if you want to be that low?

because bags are expensive and no companies have really worked all the kinks out of a reliable bag over strut set up in the front due to clearence. Also The georgia DOT sorta knows what they are doing so i don't run into many problems. and the race lands can drop lower than the k member will allow that to.

Fair enough, sounds like a valid reason to me. I'm tempted to run a bag setup myself, but then corner carving wouldn't be nearly as fun

I'm not dropping 5k on my front suspension for most of the same reasons I'm not buying a 4k set of wheels and tires. I'll settle for coilovers and a driver mod

I tried that for a little bit. After I melted the tip of one of my spark plugs on a track day that was an hour and a half away I kind of gave up on that idea.

Yeah I didn't do too many mods to my car while I was in college. I really need to start setting aside money for a DD, but I keep flip flopping on what I wanna buy and what I wanna use as my DD
