Sorry but that's bull****. I got a $128 ticket for going 48 in a 45 at 1am when I was the only car on the road when I was coming home from work. And I got another ticket for 74 on the interstate a few weeks ago.

I guess my loud yellow car just doesn't attract the right cops.. /sigh

And here's a few new pics of my car! Undergoing a huge rebuild!

Your profile picture just made my day! I've been looking for an example of that rear end set up for a while because it's exactly what I want to do with mine, can you post the picture so I can enlarge it?

Nice looking car.
What are doing to the engine and if you don't mind me asking what is it going to cost you?

I have a 2000 stock white GT.
Like you had mentioned I favor the reliability factor and have left it stock.
I have installed the mm caster camber plates, billsteins, rear adjustable control arms, subframe connectors and HR race springs. The car handles like it is on rails. I am now kind of torn on the wheels. I have some 17s now and am thinking of either..

These

Or These wheels...

What do you think would look better on a white 2000 GT?
I considered the chrome bullits too, but I just think they have a bit to much
bling. I like the bling, just not to overpowering. That's why the Cobras looked pretty good in my opinion. But the Anthracites look sick too.. So torn.

How is the ride quality after installing the SS springs? American Muscle had convinced me not to go with them cause they said they cause a noticeable rough ride and I wouldn't be happy. They said that with the unibody suspensions that they shouldn't be lowered more that 1.25 or handling and ride quality will be sacraficed. I was going to go with them cause I love the look. I am getting around it though by adding the 18 inch wheels to make up the difference. I even called them a few times in hope to speak to someone else to convince me that wasn't true. Unfortunately I kept getting the same guy. I think when I called, he was the owner and didn't employ anyone else..

ride quality is rougher than the eibach pro kit i had previously had. Handling is better than previous. It's not anything terrible, they are just stiffer springs.

I guess I'll answer everyone.

I plan on forging the rods and pistons; stage 2 cams with upgraded springs. Possibly getting better flowing heads. Upgrading intake.

I painted the bay with a PPG color. I'll find out the code in a bit. Also used a spray gun.

And the H&R SS does not produce a rough ride IMO. I love the ride. Although I do have Tokico d-spec shocks and struts and I have them tuned a little soft in the front. But yeah.
