Finally got 8800GTX'd

Seems im running out of Internal Real-Estate. Next up will be a full tower.

That Zalman CPU heat sink and fan kicks ***! the 120mm intake and two 80mm exhaust fans are running full time and its silent as hell.

Also installed a PCI sound card, the DFI boards come with their own, and its garbage, could never figure it out, i could never get full 5.1ch surround to work properly. 20$ and i now have full surround sound.

also disabled the LED's that were inside the power supply. ripped out all my cathodes, and swapped the side panels. with the lights off, i can barely hear the PC and i sure in the hell cant see it anymore. loving it.

wait a minute, something is wrong here......

ah there we go.

thats one big board!

8800GTX-OC. BFGtech. FTW.

getting tight in there.......

soon to be two monitors, getting a freebie 19" next weekend.

now the only things that light up are the Ram LED's, the CPU Fan LED (couldnt disable it, the LED's are internal) and the onboard diagnostic readouts.

My buddy has a heatsink like that. I just noticed your desktop is the same as Monte's.

How does having your monitor setup away from your keyboard not annoy the **** out of you?

Re: Finally got 8800GTX'd

when i first put it there, anytime it started to annoy me, i would just think about Nate's postings, and the monitor placement didnt seem so bad anymore. now i dont even notice it, however nate's e-cock is forever etched into my mind.

the second will go where that blue stack of CD's are, right in front of the keyboard, and ill probably only use it for gaming. Im starting to work more with AutoCad so i think id like to have autocad open on one monitor with everything else running on the corner one. i dunno, im weird. when prices drop, ill get a nice widescreen or something.

however me and the sister have been toying with the idea of setting up my old PC setup for a music rig, getting a really good soundcard and setting up a little studio desk where we can record stuff on a whim. everyday now we spend about a hour or so recording ****, its a pain in the *** how we have have it setup now, id like to be able to plug in my guitar right to the PC, press record, and record straight to whatever format (right now we go from guitar+amp to mixer, the mixer converts it to mp3, connect usb to pc, send MP3 over, and then modify with whatever program she has), so the second monitor might go to that, if we go that route, all i need is the soundcard and a case.
