Heck I think people should just be happy to have a car that can stand that much stock. I myself would like a Evo 9th Gen four door for family, awd for safety, and build great boost for daddy!

I loved my 64 Impala, 300hp factory 4spd with bench seat and factory tach. Sold her in 1971. Had put 64 station wagon springs front and rear with Lakewood Traction bars to control the wheel hop.

Gotcha. I thought it was trying to say something. Sorry. I understand now. Too bad It's not "302" instead of "320"

I really wanted a 63 but they were really hard to find with 4spd, so when this one came along I got it. When I had my 63-1/2 Galaxie, it was a Q car........427/4spd, I raced a couple of dual quad 409's and it was a pretty even match up...........another car I should have kept.

We nearly bought a 63 Galaxie 500 XL and 67 Fairlane GTA 390 when I bought my Impala. I got it from a big ford enthusiast. Truth be told, I was there looking at a 67 cutlass 455 at his place. Then my dad and the guy started talking and the Impala came up. Plus my dad didn't want me (15 at the time, 21 now) to have a big block. Which the guy was really cool and thought it was awesome that someone my age loved the classics and hates the modern stuff. Which I'm a car guy I like them all regardless of what emblem is on the car or what country it comes from. I'll tell you the car I'm lusting after now is a 70 AMC Rebel The Machine. Plus there's no AMC's in my town so I thought it'd be cool to have here. I just made an offer on 64 GTO 389 4 barrel 4 speed, waiting to hear back from the owner.

I've always loved the classics, I guess that's why I've had quite a few "older" drag cars. I have a friend in Northern California that has a factory 427/4spd convertible 1966 Impala.............all stock. I also have a friend in Washington that has a 390 AMX with factory 4spd that he has done a lot of work to the motor and suspension.............it's a beauty.
I love all makes but am partial to Ford and have been for over 25 years.

Very cool. Although my grandfather was an automotive machinist and dad was an automotive mechanic they didn't have their own shop....................if they had owned a shop I'd have probably been their also. I have friends that own their own hot rod shops, foreign car shops, engine shops and transmission shops but you guys look like you do it all....................really nice!

Sorry, I meant your dads shop and assumed you worked there.
Yes, if I could re-write history I would have been a mechanic/machinist. Nothing better than building a motor with your own hands and watching it hit 650hp on the engine dyno with a single 850cfm carb. My passion has always been building motors, from the Chevy 6's, Ford Flathead V8's and a lot of different motors in between.............my last experience will be a MOD motor.

I'm getting ready to rebuild my engine in my Challenger, while the body is being painted. Kill two birds with one stone.
And I'm hoping to hear back from the 64 GTO owner about the offer I gave him.

Good luck with the 64 Goat.
I worked on a friend of mines 62 Dodge Max Wedge 413 cross ram some 45+ years ago. It had the biggest intakes I had ever seen at 2.08" and the CR was over 13to1. She could fly.
Send pictures of Challenger.
