Think of it this way when getting a V6. I'm 17 right now and I plan to get my first Mustang shortly and:
1: No way in Hell will my parents let me drive a GT
2: V6s do naturally get better gas mileage than V8s no matter what anyone says... And gas prices are extremely high right now.
3: I'm looking for an 05-09 Mustang and when I get it will most likely only be able to afford a V6

These reasons probably don't apply to everyone but it's my reasons... Everybody has their own reasons.

Yah maybe later in life, but try 15...I got quotes from 3 different companies for a Mach 1 and it was comparable to coverage on a new Z06

Hell I was paying over 2k a year for coverage on my v6 when I turned 16 and I had multiple discounts applied to my premium. You don't want to know what the same year GT would've been.

I haven't gotten quotes on a v8 mustang in a while, I'm 22 now but I wouldn't imagine it'd be too much more, at least I hope it wouldn't lol.

What are you doing trying to get a mustang at the age of 15 anyway?

That's when I was 15, I'm 22 now lol. I worked my *** off cutting lawns and doing landscaping to buy my first car...I knew I wanted 2 door rwd coupe, ended up being a mustang, v8 would've been nice but I didn't want to be car poor at 15, lol, still wanted a life.

I now have 3 vehicles too and my coverage is ~240 a month, ones a bike so I'm sure that kicks it up some.

Yah I was paying around 2000 a year...keep in mind I was 15, the car was an 03 that I bought in 05. Insurance rates hated me and every other teenager out there that owned a mustang.

It is the off topic section which means you can post threads that are off topic. But we still try to stay on topic within that specific thread.

Think of this situation: A 17 year old who lives in California and wants to get a Mustang... How much do you think the insurance is gonna be on that V6 or V8 lol

I don't know bout that,it is an awesome car and the sound isn't that bad but it still just doesn't do it for me. I think the upgrade package is well worth the price though.

Re: To all you v6 boys who want a nice sounding Exhaust...

I just remember all the the Hot rods my uncle built and how awesome they sounded with a nasty cam. To the common person it may sound horrible like the car isn't running right but to us it's like heaven.
