Were painted when I bought my car. For the record I was probably the first or one of the first to discourage the use of plasti-dip as an alternative to using actual paint.

I don't hate it and when done right it looks great on badges ect. I just don't like the fact that new plastidip threads are started every other day. A simple search pulls up a ton of plastidip threads and gets you answers faster than starting a new thread and waiting for replies.

Not hatin....educatin.

I mean if it wasn't for repeat threads these forums would be dead. Interaction would be gone. New members are normally the ones that ask repeated questions, and they are good threads to start out on. Is it that hard to reply with a plasti dip is great! Or something positive instead of negative post saying quit making these threads and go search for past ones! First impressions are a big thing, last thing we all want is a potential member feeling negative towards these forums because someone was a *ickhead to them. Newer members don't understand there are tons of other threads, they're new! Just answer them, quit being lazy and griping about repeat threads.

Lazy....fo real? When we are the ones that clean everything up? It would be awesome to roam the threads on here without having to move threads like normal members. Letting someone know that your thread is in the wrong section or to use the search button to find the answer is helpful and also helps them in the future when they join another site or are helping another ME member.

If that was to be awesome, then why are to mod, or whatever you are? I can't tell because I'm on iPhone app. If you hate it, don't do it. These forums are for enjoyment, not a job.

And I wasn't meaning to call you in particular lazy, I meant everyone as a whole that complains about repeat threads?

I can't and won't speak for anyone, but.. We are all volunteers, we do it because we love this place. It can be frustrating when we see trends we think are bad for the forum as a whole. I don't think any of us intend to be jerks or whatever, we just want what's best for the forum in the long run. I.. We, hope you(everyone) can understand that, the difference is we've been in trusted with the authority to right what we feel is wrong, we are normal ppl like you guys. That said we stand behind the rules and overall outlook of the forum and it's owners and staff.

This thread is now closed.
