I finished my first semester with a 1.7. Second semester with a 2.2.

I did nothing wrong.. Just wasn't ready for the type of schooling college was. And I was Kinesiology, Fitness Studies. Basically pre-med. well at the end of my sixth semester I had worked up to a 2.9 GPA after busting ***.

It's hard. Just letting you know just because you're high school smart don't take it easy.

You seem to be a smart girl. Just apply yourself well and figure out studying early on. I went to a lot of study workshops to help me learn to study.

Not meaning to scare you of course. Haha. Just saying.

+1000 I left high school with a 3.99 GPA, was 10th in my class and I ended college with a 2.9 GPA. And once you are in for a year or two it is really hard to get it up because the credits start adding up and it is hard to change a massive amount of credits. I too went and found help at my college to teach me the college way of doing things.

Do that until you are at least comfortable with what is being thrown at you. You will find a routine eventually and know what they are asking of you

+1 Most universities will have free tutoring and will host tons of workshops for interested students. Most students don't take advantage of these services so it's usually a pretty personal setting with the presenter. I'd recommend it.

Looks like the alligator was pretty comfortable against someone warm blooded. I have heard their teeth even as babies are very unforgiving.

Sometimes I think I have Louisiana in me because I can't get enough Cajun food, it just drinks that I live in Florida

See the funny thing is that I'm currently going into my senior year with a 3.0. Can't say I ever put any effort into school. My schedule is about a tough as it gets, AP classes, dual enrollment and engineering program classes. I may not be great in high school, but every teacher tells me that I am much better for college than high school. I just don't think the current public school system is good at all, they make decisions for the students and then wonder why the few decisions that kids can make these days are bad. They push kids who really shouldn't be in higher lever courses into them and honestly I think it is making for a disaster.

I feel that. I had dual enrollment and internships at training studios as a senior, too.. I still got blindsided. Idk. College should be for everyone but it's not for me.
